Esteban Loaiza pleaded not guilty to a felony drug charge after police found 44 pounds of a substance believed to be cocaine in a home he rented.
Esteban Loaiza, who played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball, was arrested in San Diego last week and faces several drug charges, Sports Illustrated reported.
According to the report, officials with the San Diego Sheriff's Office said the former pitcher is being charged with possession and transportation of heroin and cocaine for sale of over 20 kilograms and transportation or sale of narcotics or a controlled substance.
