Meizu 16 and 16 Pro official: razor thin bezels and an UD fingerprint reader

While it could have done a better job with the publicity, Meizu nailed the execution of the 16 and 16 Plus phones. Both of them have tiny bezels and rely on an under display fingerprint reader. The difference between the two is the screen size - 6" on the regular Meizu 16 and 6.5" on the Plus model.

The Meizu 16 Plus has a Super AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,160px resolution. Below the display is a fingerprint reader that needs 0.25s to trigger.

    Thanks to Meizu's CEO, we already know the key selling points of the upcoming company's flagships - the Meizu 16 and 16 Plus. The devices even got their official launch date set up for August 8, which is only a day before the Galaxy Note9 announcement.

  • Oppo F9 Pro will officially launch on August 21

    Oppo will launch the F9 Pro on August 21. The information comes straight from Oppo's website.

    The F9 Pro's key selling feature will be its selfie camera - expected to be a 25MP f/2.0 unit - and its rapid VOOC Flash Charge, which Oppo claims will offer 2 hours of talk time on a 5 minute charge.
