  • Female seriously injured in Mississauga collision involving motorcycle

    A female has been seriously injured in a collision involving a motorcycle on Sunday afternoon in Mississauga. The crash happened near Rathburn Road and Confederation Pkwy. Peel Regional Police said that they were called to the scene around 2:15 p.m. They said that the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police later said that he injuries are non-life-threatening. Confederation was shut down in both direction at Rathburn, but has since re-opened.
  • Mississauga industrial accident leaves man in critical condition

    A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following an industrial accident in Mississauga. Emergency crews were called to the area of Drew Road and Bramalea Road around 7 a.m. An adult male was subsequently transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, Peel Regional Police said. There are no specific details so far in terms of what happened to the man. The Ministry of Labour has been called into investigate.

    Peel police have charged an Ontario tunnelling company and one of its employees in connection with the death of a 54-year-old man who became trapped in an underground tunnel in Mississauga more than a year ago.
