BloomTech, a once-buzzy coding boot camp that offered students the chance to pay their tuition using earnings from a future job, was hit Wednesday with a $64,235 fine by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The San Francisco company’s founder, Austen Allred, has to pay $100,000.
