Sitting Bull Falls Recreation Area gate reopens

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The gate at Sitting Bull Falls Recreation Area in the Lincoln National Forest reopened under modified hours on May 16. The gate at the site has remained closed since May 7, 2024, due to ongoing staffing shortages. As of now, staff from other districts have been deployed to open the gate. []
