JUPITER — Justin Hicks of Wellington, who once led the U.S. Open for one day, was the medalist Saturday in local qualifying at Admiral’s Cove for the 118th U.S. Open next month. Hicks, 45, fired a four under par 67 on the North and West nines of the Club course with seven birdies and three bogeys.In 2008, Hicks shot 68 to share the first-round lead with Kevin Streelman at Torrey Pines in LaJolla, Calif.
