Game 3 Recap: Suns spliced, diced, and iced at home, down 0-3 after 126-109 shellacking by Timberwolves
The Phoenix Suns hosted their first game of the 2024 playoffs, and just like the last time they played in the Valley of the Sun during the postseason in Game 6 of the Second Round last season against the Denver Nuggets, they disappointed a home crowd with a frustrating loss. In both instances, their season ended, although tonight’s 126-109 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves hasn’t officially ended the year. But no team has ever come back down 0-3 in NBA history. It was the same script as the...

Suns' Grayson Allen out for Game 3 against Minnesota due to right ankle sprain
Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen will not play in Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Suns head coach Frank Vogel said pregame that he would be a GameTime decision. That decision had been made. Allen did not participate in pregame shoot around. Grayson Allen is the NBA’s top 3-point shooter but sustained a right ankle injury he re-aggravated early in the third quarter in Game 2 on Tuesday. More to come on this story.

An in-depth look at the offense for the Suns prior to Game 3
Coming into Game 3, the Phoenix Suns have compiled an offensive rating of 100.0, third worst in the playoffs. They’re also 4th worst in the halfcourt at 86.7. They’re spending 83.8% of their possessions in the halfcourt and against Minnesota’s set defense — which isn’t ideal. Additionally, they have just 35 assists on their 68 field goals made, with 34 turnovers and 19 of the live ball variety. Execution and ball security in being better, are the chief entities for any adjustments spoken on....

SBN Reacts: Suns want to win? It could be as simple as holding on to the ball
The Phoenix Suns host the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, and the hope is that the team can get on the scoreboard with a win in the series. The fans will show up. Let’s hope the team follows suit. We’ve been racking our brains over the past couple of days trying to understand why this is happening and how it can be fixed. Many of us have landed on the simple fact that this team does not have the foundational ability to be better than they are; that they are their own worst enemy and sessions on...

Suns list Grayson Allen as questionable for Game 3 against Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves
Phoenix Suns guard and the NBA’s 3-point percentage leader, Grayson Allen, is questionable for the Suns’ Game 3 in their first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Footprint Center on Friday. Allen said at Thursday’s practice after he re-aggravated the injury suffered in Game 1 with 9:37 left in the second quarter of the team’s 105-93 loss in Game 2. Allen is someone the Suns will need to roar back from a quiet offensive start to this series. He is yet to be a factor but Phoenix is...
