• Man Killed in Shooting in NE DC

    A man was killed in a shooting early in Northeast Washington early Friday morning.

    The shooting happened at 4th Street and Adams Street NE, about two blocks away from the Rhode Island Metro Station.

    The victim has not been identified.

    No further information about the shooting has been released.

    A man was shot and killed inside a barbershop in Northeast D.C. Tuesday afternoon, police say.

    Police arrived at the 6200 block of Dix Street NE at about 12:30 p.m. Inside the shop, they found 25-year-old Kayvon Herder and a barbershop employee had been shot.

    Herder died at the scene.

    The other victim is expected to survive.

    Police believe Herder may have been the target of the shooting.
