May Day to affect public transport
The red and blue lines of the Athens Metro and trams will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May Day. The metro’s green line will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., however. Buses and trolley buses in the capital will begin servicing routes from 9 a.m. but will return to depots by 9 p.m. Despite a strike called by railway unions, there will be skeleton train and suburban railway services.
