USC students left speechless
USC canceled its Muslim commencement speaker who had posted against Israel on social media, citing “security concerns.” After widespread protest, the University then “released” all outside speakers and honorees from attending the graduation ceremony. In doing so, USC “harmed a rich tradition,” says CNN’s Michael Smerconish, “of colleges hosting speakers with a variety of views.”
