Topeka receives more than $5 million for road safety

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The capital city received a more $5 million grant in an effort to improve pedestrian and traffic safety. On Tuesday, a spokesman with the city of Topeka announced it received more than $4.3 million as part of the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation []

Greeley will soon have nearly $8 million on the way after receiving a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to improve the safety of the city’s roads. The grant is slated to be used by the city to pilot seed management technologies, conduct studies to increase viability of vulnerable road users and pilot quick build activities through feasibility studies that will inform Greeley’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
