Two residential towers that are set to be built in The Hague will not rise as high as previously planned. The height of one tower was planned to reach a height of 180 meters, but that will be scaled down to 139 meters. Police officers shot at an already injured suspect during an arrest in The Hague on King’s Day. They were sent to the scene to try to calm a situation involving a man who used a sharp object to wound himself at about 5:30 p.m. It was not clear if the individual was also struck by gunfire.“Due to a threatening situation at the beginning of the evening, the police fired shots at a man,” police confirmed. “The suspect was injured and taken to hospital.”

The former police officer suspected of violently murdering 48-year-old Rishi Parmesar in Suriname at the end of December 2022 was ordered to remain in pre-trial detention during a hearing in the District Court of The Hague on Monday. Romeo B., now 50 years old, denied the accusations against him, and is struggling to understand “how he ended up in this nightmare,” his attorneys said.
